Launch of Honda Jazz

One of the newest entries into the premium hatchback space, the Honda Jazz was launched in India on 10th June, 2009. The Euro 4 compliant Honda Jazz is set to give tough competition to cars like the Maruti Ritz, Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia and the recently released Fiat Grande Punto. Jazz is equipped with a powerful i-VTEC Engine and host of other interesting features which will set it apart from the other cars in the same segment. Honda Siel Cars India Limited (HSCI) has introduced the 'Magic Seat' concept inside the Jazz, which makes its rear seats foldable and more spacious to accommodate extra luggage.

The 1198 cc i-VTEC Engine has been designed specifically for maximum efficiency on Indian roads. As per the tests conducted by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) the Honda Jazz is expected to return a fuel efficiency of 16.1 km/litre.

Now comes the all important issue i.e. pricing.

It seems Honda Jazz has tailor made the catchline 'One Life. Why so serious?' keeping the price tag in mind. The Honda Jazz is priced between Rs. 6.98 lakh to Rs. 7.33 lakh. The pricing of the Honda Jazz has come into lot of criticism from some quarters. The Honda Jazz is definitely priced above its competitors . However, considering the attractive design and other striking features such as the 'Magic Seats' the Honda Jazz is certainly a value for money buy.
